The Jack White Sea Bass Open is a week long tournament held April 20th - May 4th to commemorate legendary spearfisherman Jack Prodanovich. Jack is one of the founding members of the "Bottom Scratchers" dive club, formed in 1933 and considered to be the first and oldest diving club in the world. We honor this pioneer and hope you will join us.
The Awards Ceremony
The week long event is followed by an awards ceremony on May 5th, 2019 where the biggest white sea bass weighed in takes top honors among competitors, followed by second and third place. First place will be awarded a $400 cash prize, name engraved on the perpetual trophy, 1st place plaque. Second place receives $200 cash prize, 2nd place plaque. Third place receives $100 and a 3rd place plaque. There will also be other prizes given with the cash purses that we reveal soon. Along with the announcement of winners, a raffle with dozens of prizes takes place where all competitors and attendees may win raffle items, enjoy great food and beverages. All of this takes place at James & Joseph Spearfishing Supplies located in San Diego. Awards ceremony begins at 12:00pm and winners will be announced at 3:00pm, to be followed by the raffle. This is a great time for friends and families.

The awards ceremony is free to attend but if you would like to enjoy food with beer/beverages, you'll need a wristband for $20.
